According to this person's tests, and accompanying video, using the latest DXVK can provide noticeable performance improvements, even though in some cases it creates problems.
It seems easy enough to install it according to the instructions provided, but I suppose it would be even nicer if the option to install the latest was available directly in CrossOver 21. This could be marked as an experimental option.
To get improvements in FPS it requires a newer version of MoltenVK (from my fork), the problem with replacing the libMoltenVK is you’ll break the code-signature on CrossOver.app. The newer versions of MoltenVK had reintroduced the “GPU Lost” bug on Apple Silicon and possibly other GPUs, I do plan to retest after v1.1.6 tag is stable.
Bumping DXVK alone might be viable but still might cause more of a support nightmare.
The only way to make changing out the version of libMoltenVK possible is fixing wine so it’s able to make use of the Vulkan loader. I’ve informed Chip of this on wine-devel when I proposed force disabling the Vulkan loader detection on macOS.
