Was wondering if maybe someone could tell me how much code these two applications share? I mean, it's all Wine, right?
I've been running some older EA games on my linux box via Crossover Office, specifically Sub Command (which runs great, by the way, so thanks for that!), and was thinking about picking up Team Fortress 2. That game's about 20 bucks retail, but I'm wondering if I need to factor the 40 dollar license for Crossover Games in to that price, or will I be okay with CXOffice?
I don't mind having to buy the license. CXOffice is a quality product and I'm 100% happy to support the work you guys do (reason I bought a CXOffice license in the first place). Just wondering if CXGames is strictly necessary, from a budgetary standpoint.
If your game works, you don't need it. However, if you run into problems, running games in crossover office is not supported.
