I just wanted to share my experiences over the weekend of getting my wireless 360 controller to work with crossover games on mac os x. I have scene several times on this board where it states that gamepads and joysticks are not supported in crossover games and that remains true. The approach I took was getting the 360 controller to act like a keyboard and mouse. I used a program called controllermate.
I also used some of their forum users exported config files to get the right analog stick to act like the mouse (so i could take advantage of mouse look) and the left stick to act as the keyboard keys W,S,A and d for forward, backward, left and right. i was also able to reprogram all the buttons to map them to keyboard keys. I have no affiliation with the company that produced the program but it did the trick for me. Hope this helps all of you who are dieing to use your gamepads and joysticks with crossover.
