Steam games messed up Again....

Considering this is the 3rd time this has happened I am getting a little well fed up. The story goes I was playing garrysmod as I usually do and then it locked up my computer as usual, so I restart and I notice the icon up in the top left right of my screen as before(screen shot at bottom). So I start up the game already know it was messed up and as beforwe the setting of windowed mode have been reversed so it's full screen again. I set it back to windowed then I restarted it and enter a game everything's color is messed up.

I wonder if this is yet case where MacOS trashes our registry files when it crashes, thus deleting essential settings of the game and CrossOver. Ken, any guesses?

This happened again... was playing garrysmod and I froze then when i restarted and started crossover I got that damned icon in the top left... reinstalling COG again..
I fixed it last time by taking out Tim>library>application support>CrossOverGames> blah blah blah> steam then i reinstalled crossover and installed steam for the bottle to get the fonts then I replaced the newly install steam folder with the old one and wallah it worked again

This error has happened about 3 times this week hoping for a fix cause i hate using parallels.
