Hi guys, i'm relatively new to this, but i have to tell you that crossover really kicks ass!!! It has worked great for me so far (i've tried hl2 and cs).
However, i have found a very annoying problem: when trying to test the JediKnight 3 - Jedy Academy (which is still unsupported), i can't make it work. I know i shouldn't do it, but this copy is not licit, in the way a friend of mine just copied it to me from his already installed files. It works great on my pc, but i can't make it work under crossover. It's not that it crashes, but it just simply doesn't even launch when i double-click the .exe file. I bet i'm doing something wrong, and i guess i should sort of "install" it in the bottle, but don't know how.
Yes you are right... I don't legally own it, but i guess it is a common practice to share with your friends the games you have already purchased. In fact, i bet even you have watched one of your friend's dvd film because he lent it to you. Anyway i was trying to justify myself.
I have sort of solved the issue by installing it with the original cds anyway, so guess it is a closed topic, but is it a way to run .exe under crossover without installing them, now talking in general terms?
sure, just start crossover, go to programs -> run command -> and there browse for the .exe you want to start.
