yeah.. i purchased the crossover game thingy, and im not able to run NWN1, but i can install it. how ever its not possible to install the expansions, since it says it cant find NWN, which is required to install.. any one know anything about this issue? it says that with crossover games one's supposed to be able to play NWN, and NWN2, and i guess that should include the XPs?
do one need to purchase the game for mac then? i already got the NWN deluxe edition, and it would be kind of sad to be forced to buy all 3 games again, since the program (crossover games )doesn't work as it says its supposed to.
For some games' expansion packs you'll either need to use the no-cd crack (which you might need to play, anyway), or mount the original disc. Have you checked out the NWN page in our compatibility database? - http://www.codeweavers.com/compatibility/browse/name/?app_id=84
yeah ive checked it out... and at least NWN1 without any expacs are supposed to work, which it dont
and why would i need cracks, if i already OWN the original..? dud... you should most certain add more info about how "so-so" your products are working. not sure i would bought it if knew that most of the programs you claim to be able to run, doesnt work through crossover games.
This may not help you, but I copied the installed filestructure from my old PC to my iMac and it plays fine with Crossover.
For that matter, it also works with Parallels - although not as fast as with Crossover.
Edit - Incidentally, NWN2 does not work with Crossover, nor with Parallels or Fusion. I have not yet tried it with Boot Camp, although I assume it will work with that.
As for NWN1, this used to require the original disk in order to play, but this was removed by one of the patches a while ago. It now plays without needing the disk in the drive. Of course, you have a sort of Catch-22 until you actually reach the patched state.
Best of luck - hope you can resolve the problem. Have you tried mounting the disk within the Bottle Control thingy?
