Recently I upgraded Ubuntu 11.04 to 12.04 LTS and then xfce. I had all of the windows application working fine but now nothing works. Crossover menu is gone too. When I click on .doc or .xls files, nothing happens. How can I fix this?

If you are able, start the the CrossOver application, select an application that is not working properly, select the "Control Panel" tab, Edit Menus, than Launch Selected Item button. On the next window, select Recreate. See if the menus have been recreated after that. You may have to select "Recreate" with "Edit Associations" under the Control Panel Tab as well.
