I tried downloading GTAV after the launch of the new 21.2 update today only to find out that my audio wasn't working. Looked on rockstar's end for a bit because I was thinking it would be them, then gave up and uninstalled it after the fact.
Then I tried Yakuza 0 because that game is fun, and it ran fine and all until I realized that I had the same issue as before: no audio.
So I tried a third game that's "unsupported" thinking Yakuza was being stupid and this would work fine, since I've never dealt with any issues virtualizing a visual novel, but yet again the problem persisted.
How do I fix this audio issue? All I'm finding in the FAQ is Linux related, and I can assure you I'm using macOS.
Many thanks
Little update,
I went to wine configuration, and I'm pressing the test button for audio, it says all my inputs and outputs are at the system defaults with no other options available to me. I bet it's a problem within there but I don't know. Just played dying light through Rosetta 2 on this laptop and audio worked fine, so I know it's not my laptop directly.
Hmm, this is the first report like this that I've seen. What audio device are you using? Can you try using a different device or your built-in audio and see if you see the same thing?
Best,
Meredith
