copying existing windows WoW install into Crossover

I have a installed and patched to latest update of WoW on my windows partition. Can I copy / import it into Crossover? Or will I need to reinstall from scratch off of cd?

Technically it should work. The same files would have been installed through Crossover, if you use the CD. However, you will have to pay attention to the Config.wtf configuration file, which in inside the WTF folder. The content varies between Windows and Crossover installations.

One of the main differences is that Crossover uses OpenGL over DirectX.
e.g.
SET gxApi "opengl" (Crossover's default config)
and
SET gxApi "directx" (Window's default config)
