Couldn't find a topic about this game so I'm starting a new thread.
I was wondering if anyone got this game to run properly. Using a steam bottle + "directX for modern games" I can get the game to run up to pretty high specs. The only caveat is that no units load, I can see all the terrain, plus markers around units and even them firing (bullets, beams etc...). Buildings are affected too. I just can't actually see the units in question.
Any ideas? I tried doing a log dump but not much that I could understand. One thing I found odd is during the loading screen when it 'loading assets" it only takes a second, while my windows computer takes at least 5 seconds.
Sadly didn't make a difference. I also tried installing .net framework to no avail. Atm I'm trying to find what dependencies the game needs, i.e. software etc... but can't find much on the net.

If you’ve got a launcher for this game within CrossOver UI secondary click and enable logging. Then after attempting to run the game check over the log for hints of what it’s looking for.

Hello,
I won't dump the whole log here as it's pretty big, PasteBin ftw.
Here's one of the errors that comes up in the log, and I find quite curious:
[mvk-error] VK_ERROR_INITIALIZATION_FAILED: Shader library compile failed (Error code 3):
Compilation failed:
program_source:275:86: error: array subscript is not an integer
uint _731 = atomic_fetch_add_explicit((device atomic_uint*)&u0_atomic[as_type<int4>(r2.xywx).xyz], as_type<uint>(r1.w), memory_order_relaxed);
The same error with a different unit comes up about 20 odd times or so, curiously it's about the same number as units in-game that are supposed to be loaded.
A quick look at forums online seems to point at a bug in Vulkan --> Metal. FYI I'm running the game in the DX11 mode. I can post a log dump with the Vulkan version of the game, however, it won't launch.

That may indeed be a bug with MoltenVK-v1.1.3 that’s shipped in CrossOver-21.x
There were some related fixes upset but there’s also other regressions especially in 1.1.9
