CrossOver Support - Community Forums

I'm wanting to know if anyone has got it running.

I'd really, really, really like to be able to play it, but I'm not going to waste the download if it's not possible.

Nor do I want to have to install boot camp. Crossover's is so easier.

Well...

I had it running on my MacBook a long, long time ago... the bad news is that it would crash regularly without warning or definite cause. Since then I haven't started it up much and as I start it today I am able to patch it, but then it crashes. At this time I would say that it does not work.

Okay, Looks like It'll have to be boot camp then.

I just tried installing and running this today.
(on a MacBook Pro, 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB 667 MHz RAM, Nvidia GeForce 6800M GT, OS X 10.5.5, and I chose winxp as the bottle type)

I only checked the compatibility forum notes, which left me hoping it might just work like it did for "John Stokes".
However, what happened to me was rather like what "David Kisley" said here:
"For me the game downloaded, installed, and loaded with no problem. However, after I get past loading the game I get an error (I tried this on a MacBook Pro, 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, with 4 GB RAM, Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT, OS X 10.5.5)notice from within the game. It says that I can't load the page. Then I get a send an email to the developers thing, and when I hit cancel the program shuts down."
Sadly, he hasn't gotten an answer yet to his questions about the preferences.
I tried lowering the resolution and other settings, but nothing changed, really.
I was so close! :(
I'd really have liked this to work and any help would very be welcome.
