CrossOver Support - Community Forums

Where are the game files located? I have a small hard drive and want to move them to an external one but can't find them. The crossover games app is already in the external but games still install to the internal HD. Thanks

CrossOver Games stores bottles in ~/Library/Application Support/CrossOver Games/Bottles, where the tilde is the path to your home folder.

The location of this folder can't be configured, but can be indirectly changed using a symbolic link:

1. Close CrossOver Games if it's open.
2. Move ~/Library/Application Support/CrossOver Games/Bottles to your desired location.
3. Open Terminal (which is located in /Applications/Utilities).
4. In Terminal, enter the following (press enter after typing the line):

cd ~/Library/Application Support/CrossOver\ Games

5. Type (not enter) the following (note the space at the end of the line):

ln -sv

6. Drag your bottles folder from Finder onto the Terminal window.
7. Type the following, then press enter:
