I installed stfc, the one from scopely. It installed fine and plays ok but cannot do mouse zoom for the screen.
It stays blown up view. I have tried control zoom with the mouse but does not work. When the game was first installed it worked: but stopped after about 30 minutes. I did run the cxfix but it said no issues to fix. One thing to note is when it did work, the keyboard was recognized for the hotkeys and is no longer present. There are no settings in the game itself for controls.
This has been a known issue running this game on Linux... The only thing that we can do is unzoom completely while it is working. I know, sometimes zooming is useful, but seeing everything is more efficient most of the time... I'm waiting for this bug to be solved, too.
To me, the mouse scroll wheel works as soon as the game is launched, but if you alternate to another windows it stops working. The only workaround is to keep the map unzoomed since the start...
thanks. I will try that. for me, the scroll wheel on the mouse does not work at all so I am stuck at zoomed-out most of the time.
If it does start out ok in the correct resolution, once I change windows it blows back up to zoomed and I cannot change it.
One thing I was doing is plugging in an android phone and using scrncpy and display the game via the phone and I can pinch zoom with it and play it directly from a mobile phone on the computer screen, but now they just came out with mac version of the game. Hopefully, they will make a linux version of the game soon.
I just installed the latest wine for ubuntu 22.04 and it works .
