files with .html extension opening wrong application

I've been using CrossOver for years and love it. I have a .Net app which will write out a HTML file then shell to a browser and CrossOver will open it in Firefox (my default browser in Linux). It has worked fine for years under CrossOver Linux on Ubuntu (including the current 20.04).

I installed Brave Browser to try it out (never setting it as default) but suddenly CrossOver started opening those HTML files in Brave. Eventually, I uninstalled Brave. Now, CrossOver will open those HTML files in Calibre Edit Book (which I have never used). I would like it to go back to using my default web browser but I don't see how to get CrossOver to do this. The problem is only in apps running through CrossOver.

I explored the Edit Associations app in CrossOver but I don't see any way to edit anything in there..

I did read this: https://www.codeweavers.com/support/wiki/linux/faq/cxofficefileassocmanual but looking at the files in that directory does not shed any light on the problem either.

Any ideas?

After more and more digging, I finally found the answer, which I thought I would post here for people who get stuck in the future.

If you open CrossOver, then select your bottle, then click the gear icon at the bottom (next to Add and Remove), then click Settings, then click Reset Default Web Browser to Linux Browser, that fixed the problem for me.

Thanks for the follow-up John, this worked for me as well. Appreciate it .
