Hello,

I have a mac and have installed the trial version of crossover. When i downloaded Eufloria (gold compatibility) it installed properley however when i pressed play an error message came up. No matter how many times i try it just doesnt work.

Please help meeeeee!

By the way: This is the same for sims3 and blueberry garden.

What is the error message?

You haven't given enough detail for anyone to answer it fully. Perhaps you need to install something else as well- for example, to get FIFA 11 working I had to install the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 into the bottle as well.

Okay, after a little research on each application's page, it looks like for both Eufloria and The Sims 3 you need to install Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 (Manage bottles>install software>Runtime support components>Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0). However, again looking at the 'Tips & Tricks' section, it seems that you cannot run The Sims 3 because 'The game includes copy protection which prevents it from starting the game under Crossover. CodeWeavers is unable to assist you as they are subject to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act', as is well put there. Eufloria has no indication of this, so it may run once you've installed the .NET Framework.

To summarise the above link's contents, you need to install the same .NET Framework as above, but also the XNA Framework. These have to be preinstalled in your bottle, so delete your existing bottles and reinstall, starting with the frameworks.

The above link also says that installing Games for Windows may help it work, but the author is unclear on this point, so try it to see if it does work. If so, go to the application's page and add your findings so others will know how to get it running in the future.

As Alex examples above, -please- search the Compatibility Database for
the app/game in question, as most all times the answer to your problems
are likely already answered or otherwise dealt with there. This forum,
is for non-application specific questions about Crossover usage itself.

To that end (and as advocate for Eufloria), I answered a forum query about

If installed using the crosstie profile, all the dependencies (including
the .NET stuff) is done automatically.
