I am trying to play sim racing games with my M3 Max Macbook Pro. I usually play AC, ACC, and Automobilista 2 with Crossover. Lately, I have been trying to use my Moza wheel to play, and the games recognize it. However, I have no force feedback (FBB), which kills the experience. I have googled for solutions, and the fixes are related to Linux, which seems to have a similar issue called "duration issue" (https://github.com/JacKeTUs/linux-steering-wheels). In particular, there appears to be a solution: https://github.com/JacKeTUs/universal-pidff
Are there any solutions in Crossover? Is there any way to make it work with Crossover?
I (and many 1000's of other people) are in the same boat. Wheels work in Parallels (without Force Feedback), (apparently it might work in VMware if forcing the USB compatibility to USB2.0 instead of USB3.1, and not at all in Crossover. The wheel is detected with the wrong name if using USB3.1 - which I can't seem to change - (the wrong name is detected in Crossover too, but no inputs work with DInput of XInput). By the way, I'm using a Thrustmaster T248.
I hope the crossover nerds will accept the challenge :) It's 2025 and we can't have FFB on wheels on a Mac... very very hard to believe, since it should be a relatively easy translation compared to other aspects of crossover?
Cheerio and good luck,
Trev
I hope this is something thats possible soon - the only reason I have crossover is to play AC on the Mac. I haven't even tried setting up my wheel and pedals up yet because the lack of FFB.

In my case, I make the wheel work with FBB with Parallels. I use a Moza R12. However, the performance of the games is much worse than in Crossover. I hope we have some answers from the Crossover devs as it seem we are many with the same issue here…
iRacing won't work because of the anti-cheat. I have been playing AC, ACC, and Automobilista 2 with LFM with my wheel using Crossover. However, there is no force feedback.
I did a search about wine and force feedback support.
Proton, which is also make by codeweavers (as many of us know), also do not support force feedback out of the box. But some people got force feedback of all logitech wheels working on Linux, using these drivers https://github.com/berarma/new-lg4ff .
On Grid Legens, a native mac game, most wheels do work with force feedback and everything else... Seems like they embedded drivers directrly on the software.
So, could codeweavers do the same? To put racing wheels drivers directrly on crossover, emulating it?
*By the way, Logitech have an old macOS driver for it's gamepads and racing wheels, which does not work on newer macOS versions.
It seems that Codeweavers are not interested in solving this. The thread was opened some months ago, and none of them have answered.
In any case, I tried Grid Legends with my Moza R12, and I could not make it work. I thought one solution to get FFB could be opening Grid Legends and then opening a game with Crossover. Could you try that in case you have another wheel/base?
I had an old, but still good Logitech G27, but I could not make it work on my M2 Max macbook, so I sold it. Unfortunattely I can't do the test anymore.
Hey Codeweavers, whats going on here? Are there any plans to fix this issue? If support with force feedback is difficult, then at least make sure that steering wheels are recognized and supported at all. I bought Crossover and can't play anything in my library.
Okay, everyone. I get that this is an issue, but the only way you are going to get any support is to submit tickets. This is all a nonofficial avenue of support. The more you submit tickets, the more they realize they have a user base that wants this feature. It may not even be CW's issue; it could be the software you are running not being compatible with the WINE project (CO's core).
I would be frustrated, too, if my game didn't work as well (I have had it in the past with b.net a few times over the years), but there are support channels in place for this type of thing ;) Also, steering wheels are a niche market. I'm not invalidating your desire to play your game; just come together and get those tickets in :)

I am also pretty new to crossover and how they do things. But does voting on an application / games also bring visibility for the crossover developers?
Ok guys, I just put in a request to the CodeWeavers, if y'all feel strongly about this, please do the same! I bet if they see people sending in messages to them it will be even more likely for them to add support, and possibly sooner. You can contact them with the link below.
Thanks!
Also remember you can't compare Parallels (VM Environment) to CO (Wine Environment). Both run very, very differently, and you can't put one up against the other based on the tech and what they are intended to do. :)
