Trying the new Age of Mythology: Retold and getting a failure error upon launch. Entire error code attached, but first lines read:
"Unhandled exception: illegal instruction in 64-bit code (0x000001400d8b57)."
Has anyone experienced anything similar or know a work around? I've tried emulating both as Windows 10 and 11. Any suggestions would be appreciated, trying to evaluate if CrossOver is going to be a good solution to playing AOM.
didnt work for me here, did you put any configurations? I just installed, the crossover asked me if I wanted to enable the preview in my existing steam bottle, I said yes, tried to open the aom, same error.
Hmm idk, not rlly interested in downloading a beta ios for just a singleplayer version, why doesnt it open the multiplayer?? If it open i would try downloading it
Can you clarify what config? I'm trying to replicate. New to Crossover -- not sure what "needs to be opened from the browser" means, and that link just takes me to the game-page here.
The link I added is the config / application.
If you open the application link (config) in the browser, then you will see a button "INSTALL NOW". This will open the CrossOver Preview application and allow you to install the application.

Got it -- thank you. Before updating to beta OS, I couldn't see the INSTALL NOW button, but now I can.
However, still unable to launch, but a new error at least:
"There was an issue starting the renderer due to an error:
Missing Feature: Resource Binding Tier2
Please check your graphics driver is up to date and y our machine meets the minimum requirements."
