I found out that Crossover only supports up to OpenGL 2.1 and not the later versions. I tested Wolfenstein: The Old Blood and got the error message saying it needs OpenGL 3.2. I found some old information about it here and here but it appears that all OpenGL games are out of luck.
Are there any plans for updating the OpenGL drivers and supporting newer versions? macOS still supports version 4.1 so it's possible to run many games that lack support in Crossover.
We are looking into solutions for better OpenGL support on CrossOver Mac. It's a tough problem since Apple deprecated OpenGL support, so I don't have a timelime atm.

Thanks for the reply! It sounds hopeful and I'm sure you'll be able to solve it eventually as usual. :) You can still run OpenGL 4.1 on macOS on top of Metal as I understand and people have been working on OpenGL 4.5 and 4.6 on Metal. This guy says he worked on OpenGL for Apple for 10 years: https://www.reddit.com/r/opengl/comments/qtxgph/its_alive_opengl_45_on_mac_os_metal/

Hi again! It's been almost a year now. Any news on newer OpenGL driver so it's at least updated to 4.1 like in macOS, instead of 2.1?

I respect that there is no timeline, but are there any news to this topic?
You didn't answer to the last posts and yours is over a year old.
Nothing interesting to report. We've done a deep dive into the many possible solutions out there, but the real killer is the performance :(
Okay, really sad to hear, but thanks for the update.
The comments and posts I read about hacks or just changing some env variables sounded to good.
But fingers crossed that it will work some day.

Thanks for the update!
