i press on run command, found the .exe file i’m trying to open through browse, and when i press run it loads for a second and then stops. any ideas?

That typically happens if CrossOver does not support the application yet. For ChromeOS specifically, games and applications that use Vulkan rendering are also not officially supported by Google yet (not sure if that's relevant here or not but figured it's worth mentioning).
I would recommend opening up a compatibility report for the application so it can be tracked by the CodeWeavers team.
