If you try to resize a column by doubleclicking on the line behind the name of the column, while in the top it looks like it went properly, the columns aren't actually resized. You'll need to drag to be able to resize a column.
In version 6.0.0 the problem is worse, also dragging doesn't allow a column to be resized properly.
