When installing Steam I had to change the Winver to Windows XP as otherwise Steam would not update but changed back to Windows Vista once it was updated.
Installing from the CD (once Steam is installed) gives a script error so either download in Steam or restore from a Steam backup (which is what I did)
To run the game set Crossover to create a virtual desktop (I used 1440 x 900) but once the game started I changed the in game resolution to 1920 x 1080 (my monitor max) and it appeared ok.
HOWEVER: there is no sound, confirmed my system sounds are fine but no sound from game when running.
