Watch Dogs Tips

Installing via Steam

  1. Install into a Windows 7 64-bit bottle
  2. Install Steam by searching for it and choosing built-in Steam Install
  3. Install Watch Dogs
  4. Launch/Play Watch Dogs from Steam
  5. Allow Uplay to install and run
  6. Login to Uplay
  7. Exit Uplay
  8. Launch/Play Watch Dogs from Steam

That's where my screen resized to 640x480 and things started flickering.

Then tried the following:

  1. Disabling Steam overlay while in-game
  2. Disabling "Use Desktop Game Theatre while SteamVR is active"
  3. Adding -disablepagefilecheck -w 1024 to Steam Launch Options
