Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War Tips

to Whom it may concern....

Well After an exhaustive search and research I was able to get my DOW paltimun collection Disc to work with all races and installed on one bottle Crossover Games 7 Intel MacBook.

1. real easy install at first; just walk through the disc install that pops up and DOW + DOW Winter Assualt come up working A-OK!

2. trying to install DOW Dark Crusade is a bit more involved.... walkthrough the installation and install in the same bottle.

3.then you must create a run command for Dark crusade by starting Crossover then click Programs\Run Command\...Then browse to DarkCrusade.exe

4. At this point you should be able to run Dark crusade HOWEVER the other races will be locked ...EVEN IF you enter valid keys when asked to do so.

5. to unlock you must navigate to %username%\Library\Application support\Crossover Games\Bottles\%Whatever you named your Bottle%\system.reg. You will be modifying this file so open with TEXT EDIT and look for the entries below...

Enter your Legit keys here instead of the XXXXXXXXX's then save and close.

6.Start Dark Crusade and enter keys when asked.......this time it should work and register correctly; unlocking all races.


Hope this write up helps someone.....and saves a few days research. A side note......the steam downloaded versions of these games seem to integrate and work better than the retail disc which is what I had.
