Visual Foxpro 8 works well but the installer still does not.
To get VFP8 working I had to give up on installing it. I had to copy a working copy off of a Windows box and into a Crossover Win98 based bottle and VFP ran fine. Except for no XML, Active X or COM. That sounds bad but all of the native Foxpro power was there so it was possible to write and run a lot of useable applications. Distributing to Linux users who are not proficient in Wine or Crossover may be difficult. I am running Crossover 5.01 on a Linspire 5.0 box.
