VCarve Pro Tips

2D View works perfectly, 3D View tab requires some attention

By default, VCarve Pro uses two view tabs - one "2D View" for geometry editing and tool path creation, and one "3D View" for previewing the job as it will be cut by the CNC router. When you switch to the 3D View tab and subsequently switch back to the 2D View, you will find that the 2D View no longer zooms and pans properly. I have found that you should click the "Restore Window" button at the top right of the application's window to switch the tab views to child windows within the frame window of the application. You can then resize the 3D child window so that it does not overlap the 2D child window, or simply minimize the 3D window and the 2D window will behave properly. Just be aware that anywhere the 3D window overlaps the 2D window, the 2D window will not zoom, pan or refresh properly and you should use the multiple document interface instead of the tab views to interact with the 2D and 3D VCarve views.
