I had to copy my discs (I don't have the steam version, old school 3 disc version) to a single folder for the install to work. Trying to install from the cd's caused a crash when it wants to change discs. So create a new folder, name it whatever you want (ie. Vampire) and copy each disc into that folder. Just select all, copy, and paste with each cd (overwriting when necessary). Then install from the setup.exe. There is no need to install directX 9c from the cd's. At the end of the installation it will hang, so you will want to kill the installation manually at that point, but don't close the crossover games install window (I recommend using "Crossover Games -> Terminate Windows Applications" then select the bottle and reset. The installation will finish according to Crossover games this will not effect the install. I recommend installing the newest patch from here as there were a lot of bugs in this game when it was released. I use the 7.0 patch and it works perfectly. At the end of the installation you will have to kill IDriver.exe for the installation to finish.
Even in the windows in the apartment there is no longer any graphical glitches. SWEET
This was tested on Sabayon Linux 64 bit Nvidia GTS 250 512 AMD 8650 2.3Ghz 2 Gigs DDR2 667 RAM
