I am using crossover games mac and unreal runs a little too erratically for my liking. To stabilise it, I used the unofficial unreal gold patch 227 from http://www.oldunreal.com/downloads.html which provides a newer, better, opengl driver you can use. In the drivers options, you can specify the framerate you want the game to run at. I chose 60 to force it to the save vsync as my laptop screen.
