The new tooltip balloon feature is not currently functioning. You can still get status the old fashioned way...double clicking the object.
VER 3.0: Still an issue...
VER 4.0 : Balloon tips now seem to work.
VER 4.1: Still appears to be FIXED with no regression
VER 4.2: Working well with no regression on Fedora Core 3.
