Manual Installation of Tropico 3 (and Absolute Power) in Cross Over Games 9.1.0 (Linux)
On your installation media, find the Setup.exe file. Extract this file to a folder.
Create a new winxp bottle in Cross Over Games for Tropico 3. In this bottle install Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable and DirectX Runtime - Modern.
Now, Browse the C: Drive, and create a Tropico 3 folder in the Program Files folder.
Copy the contents of the extracted Setup.exe file (step 1) into this folder.
Run the tropico3.exe program in the Tropico 3 bottle. (You may want to Create a Launcher so you can easily access it from your Start Menu or Desktop.)
If you also have the Absolute Power expansion you can continue on below.
Browse to your installation media, on this you should have a folder named AddOn.
Copy this folder's contents into the Tropico 3 folder from above (step 3) merge all and replace all for any conflicts.
Make sure that the files and folders have merged. Some may have different cases and may not replace the older files properly.
