If your initial menus seem oversized and/or you get black or garbled screens in-game, I may have a solution. On my computer I ran the exe from the 'run command' option under 'programs' and checked the box to make a log. The log indicated that I had a problem with fbo.
To solve this:
Go to 'programs' and 'run command'. Choose your Tomb Raider Chronicles bottle and under 'command' type [regedit] (with no brackets).
Go to hkey_current_user/software/wine
Here, right click on the 'wine' folder and create a 'key' called 'Direct3D'.
In hkey_current_user/software/wine/Direct3D create a 'string' called OffscreenRenderingMode. Right click on the new string and select 'modify'. Under the value, enter [backbuffer] (with no brackets).
Exit from the regedit.
TRC works for me now, and even works in full-screen, although the vids seem a little jumpy in full-screen.
