Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Tips

In fact, I would call it gold except perhaps that there was a slight hiccup in the startup.  It started in low resolution and would not let me move the mouse to make progress.  I killed it a restarted it and it plays fine.  One thing I did was to edit this file (your local name may not be identical) :

~/.cxgames/Splinter Cell/drive_c/Program Files/Ubi Soft/Splinter Cell/system/SplinterCellUser.ini

to plug in my resolution and fov parameters (use what applies to your desires and your hardware)

I installed from CD's so my version is very old but it seems to work well.  It is amazing how well this game has aged.  After playing all other so called stealth games, I think this one is the daddy of them all (and not substantially improved upon by the competition either).
