The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot Tips

Sound issues (hoping the crosstie fixes are enough)

For most systems, the AppDefault that the crosstie creates should be enough, which means tricking the game's executable that it's running under Win7. It should get rid of the occasional crackle and pop. If this does not work, feel free to try the old method, posted below...

[old fix, possibly not needed anymore]
Turns out that the workaround for the sound issues that Beyond Good and Evil exhibits on wine also works for The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot.
A user on winehq discovered that using an original dsound.dll from his Win7 installation will fix both sound looping and the syncing issue. For the current title, this fixes the echoey and stuttery sound.
Here's the link to his post which also contains a link to the required .dll file:

I've updated the crosstie to handle the overrides and setting of the correct windows version for the game's executable. You only need to download/copy the .dll file and drop it in the game's installation folder which is:
c:/Program Files/The Mighty Quest For Epic Loot/GameData/Bin
Note: That is the 32bit version of the file.
