The Bat! 2.x Tips

The Bat! v3 uses msi installer

With the release of v3 of The Bat! on 1st Sep 2004 the installer is now an .msi (Microsoft Installer File) and Crossover Office doesn't know what to do with this at all. Rather than install via CO I had to copy across the files from a Windows installation of The Bat! into the directory where a previous v2 installation was and overwrite the .exe and .dll files there. This works but it's messy. Once installed TB!v3 works well, but none of the default glyphs (image icons) are visible at all. To get around this a custom glyphs.bmp file can be put into TB!'s program directory and it will use that instead after it's next restarted.
