The installer you download from Telltale includes your login information so on your first run of the game you should see something like this
screenshot. What's happening is that the game is trying to use Internet Explorer to log you in. Strangely enough, it won't work in that way.
Just click on
"No thanks, just take me to the demo!" It won't actually take you to the demo; it gives you options like this
screenshot. Now click
"Already paid? Unlock the full game" and you can unlock it with your login info or with the serial number you get from Telltale.
Done! You won't have to log in again for this game.
