Strategic Command - European Theater Tips

Tested on:

- Game version - GOG digital download pre-patched to 1.07

Strategic Command - European Theater requires some settings in order for it to work properly

Install with the followings settings.
1. Use XP Bottle. (DO NOT install directX, legacy or modern directx settings will crash the game).

For best effect, use the following WINE settings.
1. Manage Bottle --> Control Panel --> Wine Configuration
    a. Graphics --> Emulate Virtual desktop --> Desktop Size 1024 x 768
    b. Graphics --> Direct3D --> Vertex Shader Support --> None
    c. Graphics --> Allow Pixel Shader --> uncheck
    d. Audio --> Sound Drivers --> ALSA Driver --> check
    e. Direct Sound --> Hardware Acceleration --> Emulation

The following GAME settings MUST be set for the game to proceed correctly:
1. Locate the directory where you have installed the game, typically in /home/<your login>/.cxgames/<bottlename>/drive_c/<your install>
2. Edit the following file SC.ini
3. Locate the following line
Original line --> sound interrupt = 1
Change to --> sound interrupt = 0
This fixes the bug where you get an excessively long wait times between screen updates and mouse clicks.
