Please note that you need to have sound enabled for this tip to work.
In any of the following situations you might end up with a black screen while the game is actually running:
You used the "restore screen" function and tried to return to full screen.
You accidentally clicked into the black area below the game viewport, had to quit and now restarted.
You changed the screen resolution of your desktop after having started Crossover.
While it is usually best to simply try and restart the game, sometimes that will still leave you with a blank screen. Do note that the game audio is working normally and that when you move the mouse around you will hear the "bing" sounds when the mouse pointer moves over the items of the main menu.
Simply position the mouse pointer at the lower edge of the screen, towards the right (widescreen monitor users beware - the far right will not work for obvious reasons) and slowly move it up until you hear the "bing" sound. Left-clicking should now activate the game's "Quit" button. Graphics will be restored when next starting the game.
