If you run this game in Crossover Games (Mac) you are still subject to the "black screen" issue described in another hint, i.e. if you click in the small black area below the game scenery, the screen will turn black.
This is a very mild problem, though - doing a "Restore screen" and then clicking on the minimized game window in the dock will get you right back into the game.
