StarCraft II Tips

Mounting the DVD/ISO

Like Wrath of the Lich King, the hybrid Mac/PC DVD Starcraft 2 doesn't mount correctly in Linux. You need to open a terminal and manually mount the disc.

First, find out what your user id is (put 'id -u' in the terminal and find the numeric value),

Unmount the DVD with:
$ sudo umount /media/cdrom0

(whereas /media/cdrom0 is the mount point of the DVD - the actual mount point might be different on your system)

Remount the DVD with:
$ sudo mount -t udf -o ro,unhide,uid=(number) /dev/cdrom /media/cdrom0

(whereas /media/cdrom0 is the directory where you're mounting the DVD - you may need to create it)
