Episode 1 Racer is 4:3 native application that does not, out of the box, support widescreen resolutions. This article shows how to use a hex editor to change a couple values in SWEP1RCR.exe to replace the 640x480 resolution with one of your choice; editing RACER.exe is unnecessary, contrary to the post.
