Note: The game will launch offline since the EA App will crash.
Tested on M3 Pro 18GB—Sequoia 15.1 RC
1. Set CrossOver’s Graphics Backend to D3DMetal and Sync Method to ESync during installation and until launching supporting applications.
2. Install Steam and the game.
3. Install the EA App as outlined in the other tip. Ensure it’s set up correctly in a Windows 10 64-bit bottle.
4. Log into the EA App and Steam to ensure they work. Switch the graphics layer to DXVK.
5. Launch the game through Steam. Expect the EA App to crash initially—this is part of the experiment! After a few seconds, the game should start. 6. Gameplay notes: You may encounter stutters and missing UI elements. Adjust settings to optimize your experience, but keep in mind that gameplay may crash after some time due to this experimental setup.
Note: This recommendation is specific to version 24.0.5 on my setup. Future updates may affect this.
