In some versions of Crossover, the application may freeze if you create a new empty document. The workaround for this is to open an existing document first. You can find some example files in the installation directory (Typically Program Files\Siemens\Solid Edge 2020\ inside the "Engineering Reference\PAR" folder. Open any of these PAR files.
Once you have opened an existing file at least once in a given installation, you should then be able to also create new blank documents as normal.
