With Soldat you may experience framerate issues. There are some changes that you can make to improve the situation.
Generally lower the amount of particles in the game, this will most likely improve the framerate.
Disable antialiasing. Can improve framerate and solve startup errors.
There's one option in particular that can improve the framerate drastically. The option can be disabled in the "Performance" tab of the Setup for Soldat. You will find it under the name "Render Smooth Polygons". It is enabled by default, but should be disabled to improve the framerate.
