SlaveZero Tips

You can get it running on MacOS! (GOG release)

Out of the box it will not run on MacOS with Crossover 24.0.5.  I purchased the game on gog.com.
But the GOG release will crash on launch.

I got it running by fiddling with the options and applying an unofficial D3D patch.

1: Create a Windows 7 64bit Bottle
2: Install it with the GOG offline installer
3: Find and apply the patch as documented by the pcgamingwiki: https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/w...
4: Open the bundled nGlide Options application (comes with the GOG release) and:
- disable vsync,
- set 3dfx logo to off
- set the resolution to 1280x720,
- set to 60hz and 4:3 mode
5: Open the Game.
6: Set the resolution to one equal or below 1600x1200 (default might be 640x480, even though you set to a different one in nGlide)

I only tested the first level and used DXVK mode to launch the game. It looked mostly good.
There were some invisible "holes" in the world where you could fall through and die.

As always on the internet: Be careful, use it on your own risk, as the patches provided at pcgamingwiki are not official.
