If you have an onboard video card this issue might be resolved by going into your bios and allocating more shared memory for it.
Cause #2
If you have set SketchUp to use True Colour Low in preferences it might display a black screen with only the mouse cursor visible. Launch regedit using the run tool in the CrossOver configuration application and change HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> Google -> SketchUp7 -> GLConfig -> Display -> PixelFormat to something different. Try 9 and see if that works. You could also set FIRST_TIME to 1 or turn acceleration off and it might let you open SketchUp and set it back to something that works.
