Installing the Frequency Finder add-on for Sirius astrology software under Crossover

Installing the Frequency Finder add-on for Sirius astrology software under Crossover or Wine

What is this document?
This document describes the steps necessary to install Frequency Finder as an add-on for Sirius software under Crossover.

What is it?
Frequency Finder is an add-on for the Sirius astrology software. Sirius has been developed by Cosmic Patterns. Frequency Finder has been developed by Linda Berry.
Wine is an open source emulation layer that can be used to run Windows software on a Linux operating system, an Apple operating system (MacOS), or a Chromebook (ChromeOS).
Crossover is a commercial implementation of Wine developed by the Codeweavers company. It has some additional features that make it more easy to use than pure Wine.
Linux is an Free and Open Source operating system that can be used by anyone.
MacOS is a proprietary operating system developed by Apple that can only be used on Apple computers (“Mac’s”)
ChromeOS is a Linux-based operating system designed by Google specifically for use on Chrome book laptops.

What does it do?
Installing the Frequency Finder add-on in Sirius will add an additional entry in the main menu under “Other”, named “Frequency Finder”. Running Frequency Finder will return a screen displaying information that can be used by astrologers specialising in Vibrational Astrology (VA). It gives very specific information, and if you do not practice Vibrational Astrology, Frequency Finder will probably not be useful to you.

Which versions were tested?
This installation guide was tested for Sirius 4.0, Frequency Finder 2.0.0.8 and Crossover for Linux version 21.2.0. It should also work for Crossover for MacOS (“Apple) and Crossover for ChromeOS, and it is expected to work under Wine as well. It will probably keep functioning with future versions of Sirius and future versions of Crossover and Wine, but there is no way to be sure.

Prerequisites
This guide assumes that:
- You are running either Linux, MacOS or ChromeOS
- Crossover has already been installed
- Sirius 4.0 has already been installed in Crossover, in a Windows 7 bottle

Steps taken to install Frequency Finder:
1) Contact Linda Berry at linda@astrologicalDepth.com to purchase Frequency Finder
2) Use the link provided by Linda Berry to download the Frequency Finder installation file (FFSetup2008.exe)
3) Open Crossover, select the bottle in which you have installed Sirius, and click on “Install Software in this bottle”.
4) Select “Install a program that is not listed”
5) Select the installation file that you have downloaded (FFSetup2008.exe)
6) Make use you are installing into the same bottle where Sirius 4.0 has already been installed
7) Press install. The installer will ask you to click “Continue”, and finally “Finish”.
8) After installation has finished, click on “Open drive C:”
9) Your File manager should open, and you should see a folder named “Better Life 4U”.
10) Inside this map, there should be a folder named “FreqFind”. Select this folder and copy it, either by right-clicking and selecting “copy”, or selecting the folder and pressing <ctrl>C.
11) Go to the parent folder, and then to the “SIRIUS30” folder. Copy the FreqFind folder into the SIRIUS30 folder. Check if this file exists: c:\Sirius30\FreqFind\FreqFind.exe
12) In Crossover, again select the bottle in which you have installed Sirius, and click on “Install Software in this bottle”. Install “Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8”. Crossover should automatically install the necessary files, but you must click to accept the licence several times, as Crossover will install several .NET packages. Ignore any error messages, and be aware that installation may take a while.
13) If Sirius was open, you need to close it and open it again.
14) Select “Frequency Finder from the “Other” menu.
15) The program will ask for your name and Frequency Finder ID, as provided by Linda Berry.
16) That’s it! Find the most powerful vibrations in the chart for practising Vibrational Astrology now with Frequency Finder.
