Once this game has obtained the mouse-pointer, that's it, the only way to get it back is to quit the game. This is not a bug - this is normal for this title. The trick is, to know this before you start the game in cx using windowed mode and discover your first challenge is to work out how to quit the game so you can do something else with your mouse...
