Emulated Desktop Makes the Unlimited Edition Work (7.2.2 Mac)
Adjust the WINE configuration for the bottle that you install Simcity 3000 into to emulate a virtual desktop, and the application will run at a silver quality level. The screen will be black for the opening movie, but if you wait it out you will reach the main menu and playability. I used 640 by 480 and I had good results. You may want to experiment with various other settings.
