In the player-realms.com web site, there are download links for an older "ShadowCove Updater".
Most players are using the newer "ShadowCove.NET". The ".NET" version uses Visual Basic 7, and the standard .NET v1.1 Framework install does not seem to meet its requirements.
If you install "ShadowCove Updater" in the same bottle with "Ultima Online: Mondain's Legacy", then the game plays fine.
You are missing some features and functions, like the "map" utility. I tried installing the map utility, and it would install but would not run at all. It crashes as it attempts to contact the server during the initial load.
