Accomplished on a MacBook Pro, Mac OSX 10.5.5, Crossover Games 7.1.1, Settlers 6 with 1.5 patch.
Install the game from your DVD
Apply the 1.5 patch from ubisoft (http://patches.ubi.com/settlers_6/settlers_6_v1.5.exe) on your installation Start the update application from your codeweavers "Install Software" menu. Otherwise the updater will not recognize an installed game.
The Digital Rights Management (DRM) software in this program
prevents it from running in CrossOver. If you are in a legal jurisdiction
which allows removal of such software, you may have luck running this
program. Unfortunately, CodeWeavers, because they are subject to the
Digital Millennium Copyright Act, will be unable to support you.
Set in your registry (from your codeweavers "Run Command..." menu, type 'regedit') In Software\Wine\AppDefaults\Settlers6.exe\Direct3D set:
"OffscreenRenderingMode"="fbo"
"VideoMemorySize"="256"
Configure your bottle that it uses an emulated desktop. So you can get rid of the title bar of this game, wich is very annoying in fullscreen mode.
