Serious Sam II had major problems with detecting the CD and would not run, whereas the downloadable demo ran almost perfectly. As a result of this I assume that Serious Sam HD will have similar issues, and I highly recommend getting the steam version as steam typically works very well with Crossover, and there is no CD required.
